Imagine you are a doctor, and at the end of a long, tiring day, if you add up all the bucks you’ve earned for every hour you’ve worked, or if you count the number of lives you’ve saved, makes a world of difference. If you do the latter you are passionate about what you do and if you are only bothered about your money or fame then what you are doing is just a profession, a job. But this takes us nowhere, this takes the world nowhere.
The world around us wouldn’t have been like this if all the game-changers weren’t passionate about what they did. It’s passion alone that drives people to do things, to achieve more, to spread the fire to others and achieve a bigger, common goal.
Not being passionate about what you do will take us somewhere, but it fails in the long run. Ultimately all you have is loads of money stashed somewhere. But if you are passionate, the satisfaction and joy you get can never be bought with all the money in the world.
So follow your passion, follow your heart and fall in love with what you do.
